FAQ - Vaccination
Friday, 27 October 2017
The Australian Government supports immunisation in recognition that it is a safe and effective way to protect Australians from vaccine-preventable diseases.
Research has demonstrated that people who are provided with balanced, impartial and credible information from a trusted source on vaccination are more likely to make a decision to vaccinate.
That is why the Australian Government has funded the ‘Get the facts about immunisation’ - a $5.5 million campaign to raise public awareness about the benefits of immunisation and dispel misconceptions about vaccines: https://campaigns.health.gov.au/immunisationfacts.
Members of the public are encouraged to speak to their health care provider if they have concerns about vaccination.
